Ad Club’s OOH Day 2024 brought together planners, marketers, and vendors for a day that celebrated the best of all that is OOH. The annual SHOWDOWN component showcased campaigns that were not only creative but whose strategic media placement led to wins in their respective categories. OOH Day also recognized our annual Merit award winner, recognizing an individual who has made a lasting impact on the industry throughout their career. The 2024 recipient is Michele Erskine, (CEO of OUTEDGE) VP OOH, Astral

Given that the event was the largest OOH Day in AdClub’s 50+ year existence, that historic level of attendance means that every sponsor and every attendee contributed record-setting funds through the AdClub to NABS and to our student scholarship program. Ad Club OOH Day 2024 Featuring the Annual “SHOWDOWN”

Our competition of Out Of Home campaigns returns!
This year’s event takes place at The Carlu (444 Yonge St, #7, Toronto, ON, M5B2H4) on November 4th 2024, from 10:30AM to 5:00PM.

Join us as we celebrate those who work behind the scenes to bring great campaigns to life. Planners and Marketers understand that great OOH is the merger of great creative and strategic placement, OOH Day celebrates them.
Agencies, vendors and clients will enter their best campaigns to compete for awards across multiple categories … and the coveted SHOWDOWN Grand Prize!

The categories of competitive entries will be judged in advance by a panel of industry leaders. Top entries in each of the categories will be presented, and the winner of each will be announced on stage. Once each category winner is determined, the Grand Prize winner of THE SHOWDOWN is crowned!

2024 AdClub OOH Showdown Submission Categories + Details 

Campaign Submission information required: 

  1. Campaign name
  2. Client 
  3. Agency
  4. Media Buyer/Planner (there may be two for this eg: Planning & Buying Agency persons can be cited)
  5. Sales Rep
  6. Dates of Campaign 
  7. Assets included 
  8. Story/objective of campaign 
  9. Results
  10. 1 day takeover impressions (if applicable)
  11. Photos/videos – limit videos to 45 secs and photos to 10mb each. 
  12. High resolution logo
  13. Client approval to be submitted as an entry 
  14. Short summary of campaign – 100 words max
  15. Category being submitted

Categories for 2024 * All campaigns must have executed in Canada 

Large Format Digital Billboard (excluding 3D, Forced Perspective, Anamorphic):

Digital static, full-motion video displays of size 10′ x 10′ or larger (outdoor or indoor).

Large Format Digital Billboard 3D/Forced Perspective/Anamorphic:

Digital displays of size 10′ x 10′ or larger (outdoor or indoor).

Large Format Static Billboard:

Static printed or painted advertising displays of size 10′ x 10′ or larger (outdoor or indoor). Includes horizontal and vertical posters, bulletins and wall mural ads. Includes horizontal and vertical posters, bulletins, and wall mural ads.

Indoor Place-Based OOH:

Static or digital advertising that is INDOOR only, any size. May include Mall, Restobar, Salons, or other indoor advertising concepts. Includes any sizes or formats.

Transit/Transportation:

all advertising within or on transit vehicles, taxis, trucks, cars, dedicated advertising vehicles, pedicabs, rickshaws, bicycles and other moving vehicles.

Street Level/Transit Shelter:

Static or digital advertising displays at street level Includes transit shelters, street furniture, postering and columns 

Station Executions/Activations:

Any transit station.

Client Direct:

Any campaign not placed through a media agency.

Submissions may include campaigns that were executed from September 2023 – September 2024.
